He was born Saturday, January 24, 1931, in Muncie, Indiana, the son of the late Lester E. and Elizabeth "Betty" (Dale) Holloway. Larry lived in Muncie his entire life. He also served in the United States Army during the Korean War, after which he was employed as a bookkeeper for Consumer Lumber Company and then for his father's business, Consumer Kitchens. During his later years he was self-employed as a handyman, mostly helping out the elderly who needed his assistance. Larry was an avid Major League Baseball fan, cheering and pulling for his favorite team, the Chicago White Sox. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing card games, cooking, and especially enjoyed spending time with family.
Survivors include his older brother, Charles "Bus" (wife Barbara) Holloway of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Gloria Mantock, Beth Hayes, and Linda (husband Max) Abrell, all of Muncie; one niece, Vicki (husband Jack) Zarley of Palmdale, California, and ten nephews, Bradley (wife Kathy) Hayes, Bruce (wife Courtney) Hayes, Scott (wife Doris) Mantock, Gregg (wife Dee Dee) Mantock, Jeff (wife Tricia) Mantock, Todd Mantock, Mark Abrell, Dan (wife Karen) Abrell, and Tom (wife Amy) Abrell; twenty-one great nieces and great-nephews.
